Football career

Born in the Scottish city of Kopar Angus . In July 1889 he moved from the Warwickshire County club to Newton Heat . He scored a goal in the first match of Newton Heat in the Football Alliance against Sunderland Albion on September 21, 1889. On April 7, 1890, Stuart scored the first hat trick in the history of Newton Heat in a match against Small Heat . In the 1892/93 season, he helped the club stay in the First Division of the Football League . Having scored 5 goals for Newton Heat in 87 matches, he left the club in May 1895, moving to Luton Town [1] . Subsequently, he played for Millwall Athletic , Thames Ironworks and Dundee .
