Oleg V. Pervakov ( April 8, 1960 , Kirov ) - Russian chess composer , grandmaster in chess composition (2005). Two - time world champion in chess composition (2004-2006 and 2007-2009, section of studies ), two-time champion of the country in chess composition (1985-1986, 1987-1988), deputy. Chairman of the Commission on Chess Composition of the Russian Chess Federation [1] , a chess journalist, executive secretary of the magazine 64 - Chess Review , director of the studies department of the journal Chess Composition. Actively works as a judge and organizer of chess competitions. Graduated from Moscow State Technical University. Bauman .

He began to compose studies and tasks in 1977. A. G. Kuznetsova , who headed the composition section in the journal “ Chess in the USSR, ” considers his chess mentor. In total, he published more than 130 studies, 90 of which are marked by differences, more than 20 first prizes.
Pervakov is dedicated to the eleventh chapter of the book by Tibor Karoyi “Genius in the background” ( Eng. Genius in the Background , 2009).
