Geographical position

It is located 34 km east of the center of Izhevsk and 22 km east of Zavyalovo . The village stands on the right bank of the Kama River , the Golyanka River flows through it.

History

The first mention of the Golyany is found in the 1621 inventory "The village of Golyan on the Kama River ..." [1] . According to the sentinel book of the same 1621, there were 12 yards in Golyany. In the census of 1710, there were already 35 yards in Golyany.

After the emergence of the Izhevsk plant in 1760 , the Golyanskaya marina became its main river port: unprocessed iron was delivered to the plant through Golyany, and finished products were sent from the plant. In 1774, the peasant army of Yemelyan Pugachev passed through the Golyany, plundered the roofing iron stored on the pier and gave it to the peasants [2] .

The village of Golyany is located at the Kama River and the Golyanka River, 35 versts from the city of Sarapul. It is the administrative, educational and religious center of the Golyanskaya volost. Residents - Russians, rural inhabitants (former indispensable workers ), Orthodox. No indications of the time of settlement of this area have been preserved. In place of the current market square there was an old cemetery. Against the church, on the banks of the Kama River, in the spring, peasants often find small silver coins of elliptical shape the size of a flat pine nut, which are sold for 5 kopecks apiece. In the village there are up to 5 pieces of fans. The company owns two milling water mills [3] .

In 1754, the construction of a new wooden Church of the Exaltation of the Cross was begun to replace the old dilapidated, the construction date of which has not been established. In 1795, this church burned down from a lightning strike and in exchange it began the construction of a new stone church of the same name, the construction of which lasted until 1804 . In 1932 it was closed [4] .

Before the revolution, the village was the center of the Golyan volost of the Sarapul district of the Vyatka province . According to the tenth revision in 1859, 841 people lived in 125 yards of the government-owned village of Golyany at the Golyanka River, a rural school, a marina, 3 mills, 2 blacksmiths worked [5] .

At the end of the XIX century, immigrants from the village of Golyany founded the village of Shutemy, which existed until 1967 [3] .

In 1918, the village turned out to be in the center of the Izhevsk-Votkinsk uprising . In honor of one of the Bolshevik commanders who actively participated in its suppression, F.F. Raskolnikov , the village was renamed Raskolnikovo, but in 1938 the village was restored to its historical name.

In 1923, the village entered the Sarapulsky district of the Sarapulsky district of the Ural region , was the center of the Golyansky village council. By 1928, the population of the village was 1134 people [6] .

In 1935, Golyany became part of the Izhevsk district of the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , and in 1937 it was transferred to the Zavyalovsky district. Several dozen Golyanovo peasants were dispossessed and repressed [7] .

During the Great Patriotic War, about 90 inhabitants of Minnow died [8] .

In 1962, the village was transferred to the Izhevsk rural region, but since 1965 it is again part of the Zavyalovsky district [9] .

Economics and Social Affairs

The main enterprise of the village is the “Kamsky” agro-complex “Vostochny” LLC, transformed from the “Kamskoye” state farm.

In Golyany there are MBOU “Golyanskaya secondary school”, a kindergarten, MUCH “Cultural complex“ Golyanskiy ””, Golyanskaya medical outpatient clinic of MUZ “Zavyalovskaya Central District Hospital”, Golyanskaya veterinary clinic Zavyalovskogo district station, Search and rescue squad No. 6, Post-emergency department of communication No. 6, Golyany ”OSP“ Izhevsk Post Office ”UFPS UR branch of FSUE Russian Post, club.

In the village there is a parish of the Epiphany of the Izhevsk and Udmurt dioceses of the Russian Church , as well as 2 objects of cultural heritage of regional significance: the armory of the Izhevsk factory and the mass grave of revolutionaries tortured by the White Guards in a floating prison barge [10] [11] .
