Yueban

Yueban ( Chinese р 般 п , pinyin : Yuèbān ) is an ancient state of the Hunnu people in the central part of the south of modern Kazakhstan . [1] Founded in the 160s e. It was considered the possession of the northern Hunnic Shanuy (after the division of the Hunnu into northern and southern). The Northern Shanuy fled over the Jinweishan (金 微 山) mountains to Kanju , and part of his subjects, incapable of heavy moving, settled north of Kuch . They occupied several thousand steppes and multiplied to 200,000 people. Residents of Lianzhou ( Gansu ) traditionally continued to refer to Prince Yuebani as Shanuy-Wang (單于 王). Huebans mined stone sulfur .

Juan Haganate and Yueban State

Subsequently, the Yuebans entered into an alliance with the Zhuanzhuan . Chinese chronicles report that the prince of Yuebani, with several thousand subjects, went to the headquarters of Dan , but along the way, he saw the customs of the Juan people and turned back in disgust. The Danes tried to catch up with him, and from then on, Yueban and Zhuanzhuan began to fight.

In 449, Yueban sent Toba Dao gifts. Including the emperor was given a Hueban doctor who could heal severe bleeding (for example, with a cut in the throat) using some kind of mountain grass. The emperor did not believe this and ordered an experiment on a criminal sentenced to death. The doctor managed to cure him and Toba Dao ordered to search for the same grass in the mountains of China, where it also grew. The Yuebans assisted the Wei in the campaign of the Toba Dao against the Zhuanzhuan in 449/450.

E. Parker and Turkologist A. Dybo believe that “yueban” is a modern sound, and “avar” is an ancient sound. [2] [3]

Yueban was divided into 4 tribes: Chuyue , Chumi , Chumugun , Chuban . [four]

Some researchers believe that the Yueban state got its name from the Chuban tribe [5] .

In 490, Yueban was defeated by the tribal tribes that founded the Gaoguy state on the Black Irtysh . [one]
