Intra-district differences

Centre

The world-famous center of Vladimir is picturesquely located on the left high bank of the Klyazma . In the historical core of the city there are more than 100 historical and cultural monuments, including 41 of federal significance. To date, the center of Vladimir within the boundaries of the ancient city has retained a three-part division, due to the existence of defensive ramparts and the historical nature of the building.

Halfheartedness

The area beyond the Lybed River, which served as the northern border of ancient Vladimir, and now almost the entire length of the collector, was intensively developed in the postwar years. The areas of Mira Street, Vspolye, Gorky Street, Tractor Plant , Youth Village are built up with two, four and five-story houses- stalins . In this part of the city there are large industrial enterprises - a motor-tractor plant , Elektropribor , a plant for reinforced concrete structures, an electric motor plant, and NPO Magneton.

Cheryomushki

Vladimirsky Cheryomushki are located in the northwestern and western parts of the city, along Prospect Builders. The area of new buildings was named in the 1960s by analogy with the Moscow Cheryomushki , a village that became, after the inclusion in the city of Moscow in 1958, one of the most important areas of mass housing construction.

Private sectors

In the Oktyabrsky district, there are two peculiar intracity villages built up with individual wooden houses. Between the bypass road (“Beijing”) and the Builders Avenue, north of Cheryomushki, is Maryinka. This territory owes its name to the estate of the wife of Grand Duke Vsevolod, the Great Nest of Mary, located here in the 12th century .

Between the Elektropribor factory and the Pochaevsky ravine there is the so-called Dog Village. The name is associated with the peculiarity of the location of the village, comparing the living conditions on the territory, surrounded on all sides by the industrial zone, located far from public transport stops with “dogs”, as well as with the abundance of dogs that are available in much larger numbers than urban ones are used to residents (Dog Village was founded by immigrants from the village, accustomed to having dogs). Officially, the village is called Pochaevsky - from the name of the river flowing through its territory. Currently, due to the almost complete closure of the industrial workshops of the Elektropribor plant, living conditions have improved significantly.

Affiliated Territories

The right bank of the Klyazma is one of the main areas of recreation and recreation. In the 1960s, the Zagorodny Park, the Ladoga camp site, the Klyazma hotel, the regional hospital and sanatorium appeared here. A stable connection with the city was maintained by the trolleybus route No. 6 organized back in 1961 . The attraction of the Zaklyazminsky territory to Vladimir led to the fact that the city first had the Lunevo-Seltso-Shirmanikha strip section, and in 2006 the Suburban microdistrict of the city was formed, which included 13 more rural settlements belonging to the Suzdal district of the Vladimir region .

Objects of social infrastructure

On the territory of the district is the largest university of the city - Vladimir State University , numerous cultural objects, including the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve, the regional library named after M. Gorky, a puppet theater, centers of fine art and choral music, the regional house of culture, a planetarium, cinemas " Artistic ”and“ Horizon ”, ice palace“ Polaris ”, stadium“ Lybed ”, 4 parks of culture and rest.
