Bidzinga ( Japanese: 美人 画 ) is a generic name for paintings and graphic works depicting female beauty in traditional Japanese art, for example, in print from wooden boards of the ukiyo-e art direction, which was a kind of predecessor of photography. The designation "bidzing" can, therefore, be used for modern art, representing the classic image of a beautiful Japanese woman , usually dressed in a kimono .
Almost all ukiyo-e masters created paintings in the bidzing genre, which were one of the central themes of this trend in Japanese art. Among the artists who created the bidzing, mention should be made of such masters of form and innovators in Japanese painting as Hisikawa Moronobu , Kitagawa Utamaro , Suzuki Harunobu , Toyohara Chikanobu , Torii Kiyonaga , Nishikawa Sukenobu , Ito Shinsui , Kaygetsudo Ando .
