The ethnic composition of the population of the city is homogeneous - 98% of its population are Serbs.
The number of adults in the city is 5,093 people, the average age of the population is 37 years (men 36.5, women 37.4). The city has 2,111 households, the average number of members in which is 3.07.
Interesting Facts
Every year the traditional celebration “Zupsky Harvest” ( Serb. Jupska berba ) takes place in the city, dedicated to the beginning of the grape harvest, according to which Aleksandrovac and Aleksandrovac Zhupa are widely known.
After World War I, Dragoljub Markovic opened the first Serbian winery here [1] .
