The second Cable Street (name March 9, 1928 [1] ) is a street in the Southeastern administrative district of Moscow on the territory of the Lefortovo district.

Description

The street runs parallel to the rest of Cable Streets from the 1st Cable Passage to the square near the Novaya platform. Crosses by 2nd Cable Passage and Aviamotornaya Street . On the section between the 1st and 2nd Cable Passages, it passes through the territory of the Moskabelmet plant. Numbering of houses - from the 1st Cable passage.

History

The street was formed during the restructuring of the working village of Dangaurovka in the late 1920s . In 1928 - 1932 on the site of the old wooden houses of the Dangauer settlement, a β€œ social town ” was built according to the project of architects M. Motylev , V. Wegner , B. Blokhin , E. Yu. Shervinsky, N. Molokov, I. A. Zvezdin. The first house of the new Dangauerovka was the house on the corner of the streets Second Cable, Aviamotornaya and Prud-Klyuchiki (49/1 along Aviamotornaya street).

Name Origin

The street was named on March 9, 1928 [1] along with 1st Cable Street , 1st and 2nd Cable Passages along the cable factory Moskabelmet located near the Enthusiasts Highway [2] .
