Statusnot embodied "in metal"

Designed by Candidate of Technical Sciences Alexander Filimonov, who is also the chief designer. The patent for the airship was issued in 1987 and received in 1997 .

The project of the Filimonov hybrid airship was not embodied "in metal" [1] [2] . Despite this, the media repeatedly mistakenly stated as a “prototype hybrid airship” similar in layout to a non-gas powered aircraft (the prototype of an aerodrome-free Bella-1 aircraft) [2] .

The device "Violet" is a "flying wing" of mixed type, the main part of which is a disc-shaped center section. It serves mainly as a container for lifting gas (helium), in the center of which a lifting system and a cargo cabin (compartment) are placed in the channel, and at the edges there is a pilot-passenger cabin, wing consoles and tail unit. Below is a combined take-off and landing device: wheel-ski supports and air-cushion landing gear. "Violet" is designed to transport super-heavy and bulky cargo. [3]

The concept of the Filimonov hybrid airship was tested in the European Union (the ESTOLAS project, which in November 2013 was widely represented in the Russian and world media. [4] [5] ).
