History
At the beginning of the 15th century , the courtyard of Prince Semyon (Simeon) Dmitrievich (the son of the Suzdal-Nizhny Novgorod Prince Dmitry Konstantinovich ) was located in the area of the modern Philharmonic. In 1416, his successors, after unsuccessful attempts to return the Suzdal and Nizhny Novgorod lands, surrendered to Moscow and left Vyatka, the name of the Semyonov Heath became popular among the people of the former courtyard, given “to feed” the Vyatka governors. Over time, the village of Semenovskaya was formed next to it.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the growing Vyatka absorbed nearby settlements, in 1812 Khlebnaya Square appeared regularly on the site of the former wasteland, and Semenovskaya Street took its origin from the square. In 1839, on the perspective of Semenovskaya and Voskresenskaya (Lenin) streets, a church was laid in the name of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky according to the project of architect Alexander Vitberg . Khlebnaya Square was called Alexandrovskaya.
In 1923, Semenovskaya Street was renamed the Street of Vaclav Vorovsky , a Soviet Communist activist and diplomat who served his exile in Orlov in 1899-1901 . In the Soviet years, the street grew strongly to the west. In the early 90's, it was planned to connect it to the Kirov bypass road , now this project has been suspended.
Many trolleybus and bus routes pass along the street (with the exception of hard-to-reach sections of the street - before the intersection with Uritsky Street and after the intersection with Stroiteley Avenue).

Development
In 2009-2010, at the section between the intersections with Gorky and Ivan Popov streets, reconstruction was carried out with the extension of the roadway.
