History
Beylik
His capital was Adana [1] . Ramazanogullary was one of the Beiliks founded by the Oguzes in the territory of the decayed Koni Sultanate . The seat of the Beilik government was , which was also a cultural center. The administrative center has not been preserved to date.
In 1375, a bailik, instigated by the Mamluk Sultanate , destroyed the Cilician Armenian state , turning it into a kind of border.
In the 14th century, the Ramazanogullars were the only Ottoman beylik who had diplomatic relations with the Mamelukes, the border strip was the buffer state of located on the territory of the Mamluk Sultanate. In 1517, after the conquest of Egypt by Selim I , beilik became part of the Ottoman Empire .
Dynasty
Beys from the Ramazanogullar dynasty led the government of the Ottoman Sanjak Adan until 1608. The few descendants of the Ramazanogullars living in Turkey still occupy high positions.
