In 1946 , by unanimous decision, the jury was awarded the first prize of the International Competition of Performers in Geneva [1] [2] . For many years, the first flute of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France ( l'ORTF ).
The last ten years of his life (1969-1979) he spent in the town of Virofle near Versailles at 31 Rue Rieussec , teaching at the city conservatory. After the death of Leroy, one of the halls of the conservatory was named after him.
