Gameplay
Gameplay is similar to other OutRun games, but the game takes place in the future. The player drives a high-speed car equipped with a rocket booster. In the Japanese version of the game, the maximum speed is 341 kilometers per hour, in the European 682 kilometers per hour, in the American - 1,097 kilometers per hour. The task of the player is to pass the track in the allotted time. Trails consist of segments connected by forks. Thus, the player can choose the route. There are four tracks in the game. In the game there are road sections of different widths, off-road sections, tunnels and bridges. Unusual for the games of the series, the feature is the presence of two levels of roads located one above the other and in places intersecting each other.
Development and release of the game
The game was originally developed as an independent game for the Sega Mega-CD called Cyber Road and was not related to the OutRun series. Subsequently, the target platform was changed to the standard Sega Mega Drive, and the name to Junker's High [2] . Subsequently, it was renamed again and released under the real name.
