Interesting Facts
- Edward Radzinsky in one of his interviews argued that “... the film“ Day of the Sun and Rain ”directed by Viktor Sokolov - then very famous, Lenfilm - was never seen at all. They simply put it on a shelf ” [1] . However, according to the Annotated Catalog “Soviet Feature Films 1966-1967”, “Day of the Sun and Rain” was released on March 1, 1968 [2] .
- In the episode on the set, Mikhail Kozakov and Tatyana Pileckaya played themselves - the actors who star on Lenfilm as the bandit Mishka Yaponchik and the silent movie star Vera Kholodnaya in the operetta “At Dawn”, written in 1964 by composer Oscar Sandler based on a novel by a Ukrainian writer Yuri Smolich "Dawn over the Sea" on the events of the civil war in Odessa [3] .
- From the memoirs of Mikhail Kozakov : “I play myself, the artist Mikhail Kozakov, starring in the movie operetta“ At Dawn ”in the role of the opera comedian Mishka-Jap. Thus, there are two roles in the role: me and the character I play. I am very grateful to the director Viktor Sokolov for this work of mine. With his help, in a parody manner, I played a small sketch about the work of an actor in a movie " .
