Biography

In 1961, he studied law at the University of San Carlos . In 1962, in Cuba , he studied medicine in Havana .

Returning to the country, he took part in strengthening the Revolutionary Movement on November 13 , and later in the creation of the Rebel Armed Forces (PVS). In 1964-1965, as the commander of the partisan front, he led partisan operations in the Sakap department . After the death of Luis Tursios, Lima in 1966 joined the PVS leadership as commander in chief, however, Camilo Sanchez soon ceded this post, having emigrated from the country.

In 1972, with a detachment of 15 people, he moved from the territory of Mexico to the northern part of the Quiche department , where he organized the Partisan Army of the Poor , which he led until 1978. Since 1982, he fought in El Salvador in the ranks of the National Liberation Front named after Farabundo Marti as commander of a partisan front. Since 1985, he assisted the Federal Security Service in the fight against contra in Nicaragua as an assistant commander of special forces of the Ministry of the Interior.

In 2003, 2007 and 2011, he unsuccessfully participated in the parliamentary elections from the Alliance of the New Nation (later the Wide Front, which included the ANN) from the Suchitepequez department .

He is currently a leading columnist for Siglo XXI . In his book La guerrilla fue mi camino (The Partisan Path), he summarized his experience in the fight against partisan troops in Central America.
