Content
History
The Order of the Red Banner was established by Decree No. 6/1955 of the Government of Czechoslovakia on February 8, 1955 , which changes the conferment of the honorary title Hero of the Czechoslovak Republic and establishes the Order of the Red Banner, Order of the Red Star , the medal "For Merit in the Defense of the State" and the medal "For Service to the State" .
The statute of the order was later amended by government decree No. 44/1955 of September 9, 1955 and No. 52/1958 of August 20, 1958 .
Regulation
The Order of the Red Banner is awarded to servicemen of the Czechoslovak People's Army and military units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Czechoslovakia, who showed extraordinary courage in battles with enemies, as well as for outstanding work in strengthening the armed forces of Czechoslovakia and the defense of the state.
Description
The badge of the order is a silver five-pointed star of red enamel, on which a golden five-pointed star of a smaller size is superimposed. Between the rays of a large star, two leaves of laurel are visible.
Sign reverse: five-pointed star of red enamel with a silver medallion in the center. In the medallion:
- until 1960 - the stamped crowned lion of Bohemia with a Slovak shield on his chest ;
- after 1960 - coat of arms of Czechoslovakia .
With the help of a figured link in the form of two linden branches encircling a mace , the sign of the order is suspended from the order ribbon.
Sash moiré of red color with stripes of dark red color on the edges.
For everyday wear there is a strap covered with sash with a metal miniature badge of the order in the center.
