Money - a lake in the Staritsky district of the Tver region of Russia , located 36 km west of the city of Staritsa , 36 km north of Rzhev and 6 km south of the village of Lukovnikovo . Elongated in the meridian direction. Surface area - 0.24 km².

The shores of the lake are swampy , especially at the places where the river of darkness and streams flow into the lake. There, water overgrowth is observed by the formation of flooding . Here forest reeds grow, the marsh cinquefoil , meadow core , poisonous ranunculus , aromatic bison , European swimsuit . The coastal shallow waters are occupied by thickets of common reed , but as it moves away from the coast, it is replaced by a pure white water lily . The lake is rich in fish ( perch , roach , pike , etc.), is a habitat for waterfowl . [1] It is a regional Natural Monument since 1993. [2]
On the shores of the lake are the villages of Denezhnoe and Pepelovo.
5 km south of the lake the river Darkness originates. It flows into and out of the lake. Two more nameless streams flow into the lake.
