The village of Pokalyanoye is located on the left bank of the Volchya River, upstream 3 km is the village of Karaichnoye , downstream it adjoins the village of Volchanskiye Khutor , on the opposite bank is the village of Zybino . Near the village there are peat bogs - the Peat tract. Not far from the village passes the Bely Yar beam, along which an unnamed river flows.
