Joint-Stock Company Central Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering ( JSC TsNIImash) is the leading research institute of the State Corporation Roscosmos. The institute includes the Mission Control Center, which provides software and hardware support for the flight of the Russian segment of the International Space Station, manned and cargo spacecraft Soyuz and Progress , spacecraft for scientific and socio-economic purposes, ISSR Luch . The Institute is the main analytical center of Roscosmos State Corporation in the field of system-wide research on the development of rocket and space technology in Russia with a wide range of tasks: from designing a concept and long-term prospects for the development of rocket and space technology to specific technological developments and their conversion in the interests of other industries. Specialists of the Center for Heat Transfer and Aerodynamics and the Center for Strength carry out applied research and research to ensure ground experimental testing of rocket and space technology. The information-analytical center of coordinate-time and navigation support (IAC KVNO) conducts systematic studies to formulate development strategies for GLONASS and KVNO as a whole, provides scientific, methodological and informational support to the Federal target program “Global Navigation System”, provides information to consumers of global navigation satellite systems .

Content
History
The State Union Head Research Institute No. 88 of the USSR Ministry of Arms was established on May 13, 1946 on the basis of the artillery factory No. 88 [3] .
August 26, 1946 - the formation of department 3 was legally approved, whose chief by order of the director of the Research Institute-88 L. R. Gonor on August 30, 1946 was appointed chief designer S. P. Korolyov .
Department 3, which was part of the Special Design Bureau NII-88, became the core of the enterprise, which is now called the SP Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia .
Received its open name - "Central Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering" on January 1, 1967 [4] .
The Institute participated in all Soviet and Russian space programs. Many prominent scientists worked in it: S.P. Korolev , M.K. Yangel, A.M. Isaev, Yu.A. Mozhorin, V.F. Utkin and others.
On August 1, 2019 FSUE TsNIImash became a joint-stock company TsNIImash [5] .
