Margarita Slovtsova-Rioli (real surname Anofrieva, 1892 - 1954 ) is an opera and chamber singer, teacher. She performed under the pseudonym Rioli. The wife of the opera singer, "Siberian Nightingale" Peter Ivanovich Slovtsov .

Biography
Margarita Nikolaevna graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in the class of solo singing and specials. piano in 1911 . She studied the vocal class of Professor V. M. Zarudnaya-Ivanova along with the outstanding Russian singer N. A. Obukhova . For many years they were bound by a strong friendship, which began back in the conservatory. “When you will be famous,” Obukhova wrote in her photograph M. Rioli, “do not refuse old friends”. In the characteristic given to the diploma holder M. N. Anofrieva, Professor Zarudnaya and her husband Ippolitov-Ivanov , not only performing, but also pedagogical talent was noted. They believed that Anofrieva could conduct pedagogical work in secondary musical institutions and in conservatories. But Margarita Nikolaevna loved the opera stage and reached perfection here, performing the leading parts on the opera stages of Tiflis , Kharkov (since 1913), Ekaterinburg (1915–1916), Petrograd (the People’s House), Tomsk , Irkutsk , Krasnoyarsk .
In 1915, M.N. Anofrieva married P.I. Slovtsov , and from now on, their path on the opera stage and in concert performances is held in close cooperation. Margarita Nikolaevna graduated not only from the solo singing class at the conservatory, but also from the special class. piano and was a brilliant pianist. That is why Pyotr Ivanovich, who performed in chamber concerts, became the favorite accompanist of his wife, who knew his entire repertoire and who had a great mastery of concert music.
Peter Ivanovich and Margarita Nikolaevna combined pedagogical work with concert activities, performed in various cities of the Soviet Union and everywhere their performances received the most enthusiastic appreciation of the public and musicologists. According to the testimony of Melnikova, Margarita Nikolaevna underwent lung resection, but she had excellent vocal abilities.
MN Rioli-Slovtsova after the death of Pyotr Ivanovich continued her teaching activities in Krasnoyarsk for twenty years. Among her students can be noted the talented Ekaterina Ioffel , who later became a professor and brought up Dmitry Hvorostovsky . Margarita Nikolaevna died in April 1954, was buried at the Trinity cemetery next to her husband.
