History
Opened December 26, 1989 at the current site.
Until 1991, it was called “Hoktemberyan” (“October”). In 1991, the station was renamed "Zoravar Andranik" ("Voevoda Andranik").
Description
The station is located in the center of Yerevan , in the Kentron district (the literal translation is “center”) with access to Tigran Mets Avenue ( Tigran the Great ), Agatangeghos and Khorenatsi streets, Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, Voivode Andranik monument and the market. The station got its name in honor of one of the leaders of the Armenian national liberation movement of the late XIX - early XX centuries , the national hero of the Armenian people - Andranik Torosovich Ozanyan , better known as Zoravar Andranik (Voevoda Andranik).
