  • In 1979 - graduated from the F.E.Dzerzhinsky Military Academy .
  • In 1992, he graduated from the command department of the F.E.Dzerzhinsky Military Academy.
  • In 2007 - graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation .

Career

In 1979-1989 he served in various positions in the Strategic Missile Forces .

Since 1992, he served as a senior test engineer , chief of staff and part commander, chief of staff of the 135th Main Testing Center for Testing and Control of Space Facilities named after G.S. Titov (2002-2004).

In 2004, he was appointed First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Space Forces . In 2007 - the head of the 1st year of the state test cosmodrome Plesetsk .

From June 30, 2008 to November 8, 2011 - the commander of the Space Forces .

Since November 8, 2011 - Commander of the Aerospace Defense Forces [1] .

Since August 9, 2012 - Colonel General [2] .

On November 9, 2012, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation [3] [4] .

Since 2013, he oversaw the System of Advanced Military Research and Development of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation [5] .

On October 10, 2013, he was relieved of the post of Deputy Minister of Defense and dismissed from military service [6] , and was appointed head of the Federal Space Agency [7] .

On January 21, 2015, he was relieved of his post as head of Roscosmos [8] .

From April 21, 2015 to February 28, 2016 - Vice-Rector for Research, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Peter the Great .

Since March 1, 2016 - Vice-rector for the introduction of advanced technologies of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University .
