Biography
Born in the city of Barabinsk, Novosibirsk Region [3] , a graduate of Klyazma School No. 1 [4] , a participant in the Great Patriotic War [5] , went to fight as a volunteer at 18, was awarded many medals, graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1951 , taught University of Friendship of Peoples. Patrice Lumumba , in May 1970 he defended his thesis, worked at the Institute of Latin America of the Academy of Sciences, where he headed the sector of the Andean countries [6] .
Being one of the few and, apparently, the first Russian who mastered the Inca language - Quechua , he translated into Russian many of the classic works of Inca and Quechuan literature [7] . He also translated poetry from French [8] and created original works [9] .
Thanks to his efforts, Moscow Radio began regular broadcasting in Quechua in the 60s of the 20th century. For 20 years, he headed the broadcasting service in the Indian languages of Moscow Radio and often appeared on the air (recordings of his speeches are stored in the music library). He advocated the implementation of the standardization of the Quechua language, the introduction of a single regulatory alphabet and the creation of a single regulatory dictionary and a single regulatory grammar of Quechua. He was a propagandist of the Quechua culture and language in the USSR and Russia [10] . For many years he nurtured the idea of organizing an expedition in search of the city of Paititi , where the Incas allegedly hid their treasures after the Spanish conquered their country [11] .
He lived in Moscow at the Patriarch's Ponds (B. Patriarchal Lane, in Soviet times, Adam Mitskevich Street).
