Northern Hont, Northern Gont , Hontianskie аupa ( Slovak. Hont , Hung. Hont ) is a historical region of Slovakia . Includes 3/4 of the ancient committee of Haunt . Recently, in tourist literature, the North Hont has been given the name Poiplie.

Northern Hont is located in the districts of Banska Štiavnica , Krupina , and partly in the districts of Levice , Nowe Zamky and Wielki Krtish of the Slovak Republic.

The region is located in the valleys of the Krupinitsa and Ipel rivers.
