The Latin alphabet is called "e". This letter has the same or approximately the same name in German, French, Italian, Spanish and many other languages. But in the English alphabet this letter is called [ i ː ].

The letter E is the most commonly used letter in English [1] , French [2] , German [3] , Spanish [4] , Italian [5] , Swedish [6] .

In the Adyghe Latin alphabet of 1918, the letter had a capital form Latin capital letter enlarged small E.svg [7] .

In Vietnamese writing, the letter e means the sound [ ɛ ], and the letter ê is used to indicate the sound [ e ].

In Lithuanian writing, the letter e means the sound [ æ ], while the letter ė is used to indicate the sound [ e ].
