History
Initially, the building at the Central Aerodrome named after MV Frunze was built for the Olympics-80 to accommodate guests of the capital and flight crews (see the Olympic facilities of Moscow ).
In the late 1980s, the Canadian firm IMP Group Canada Ltd paid attention to this building, and decided to make a business class hotel there. Jointly with the Main Air Communications Agency and Aeroflot — International Airlines, the joint venture Aeroimp has been established [1] . The hotel was opened in 1991. The hotel did not provide cash payment.
In 1995, the contract with IMP Group Canada Ltd was suspended by Aeroimp JV and its Russian founders. The Canadian side appealed to the International Chamber of Commerce arbitration, and in 1997 the Stockholm court decided to recover about $ 22 million from the Russian founders [2] .
In 2004, due to the conflict of the owner and tenant, the Aerostar Hotel was closed [3] [4] . In 2008, the company Mos City Group Pavel Fuchs became the owner of Aerostar, and the hotel was reopened [5] .
