Khabar (TV channel)

In 1994, the Khabar television channel was created on the basis of the Kazakh TV information service . Since January 27, 1997, the Khabar TV channel began to air on its own frequency. 14 hours of broadcasting per day were filled with programs of various genres, not only informational programs began to appear on the air, but also television programs about culture, educational and entertaining projects, talk shows, and music concerts.

For the first time in the history of Kazakhstani television journalism, the majority of professional television broadcasts were used by Khabar Channel.

Among the well-known presenters and journalists who worked and are working on the Khabar channel : Erlan Bekkhozhin, Lyazzat Tanysbay, Zeyn Alipbek, Svetlana Kokovinets, Aigul Mukey, Kimbat Khangeldina, Dana Nurzhigit, Kimbat Doszhan, Vladimir Roerich, Bibigul Jeksembaeva, Dzhekseliba Dzheksembay, , Skorobogatov Alexander, Sergey Kuyanov, Sergey Ponomarev and others.

The broadcasting network also includes journalistic, entertainment, music, sports and other programs of the Agency.

The channel shows top-rated television series, documentaries and feature films. The repertoire is presented by films of different genres.

The television channel, one of the few in the country, hosts a live broadcast of world-class sporting events. The technical base of the Agency allows the direct broadcast of the most important political and cultural actions from the scene.

Since December 1, 2012 it has been broadcasting from the media center “Kazmedia Ortalygy” in Nur-Sultan.

News and Analysis

The first news release under the brand name of the national television news agency Khabar aired in 1994. And from the very first days, the news of NTIA Khabar gained incredible popularity.

The Khabar information service began to actively apply news innovations: online inclusion, breaking news, telebridges. Most of the professional television techniques were used in the history of Kazakhstani television journalism for the first time. In 1998, Khabar in live mode switched on from the Mir space station. From space on air for the Khabar viewers sang the song "Kazimnіn Karasy" performed by Talgat Musabaev.

On September 11, 2001, an air group was created in less than an hour, which began broadcasting breaking news from the wheels, with the work of the presenters in the frame, expert interviews. The hours-long live broadcast with the participation of the leading news of the Khabar TV channel covered a tragic event - a terrorist act in the USA. Then everything was with the word "for the first time." First reports from hot spots, live broadcasts of historical events from the new capital of Astana, televised debates between candidates for deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, inauguration of the President, addresses of Nursultan Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan, live reports from international summits, authors' stories and broadcasts from the Olympic Games, to which was first performed by a team of athletes from already independent Kazakhstan.

Therefore, the Khabar archive today is a truly priceless video story of the formation of a young state with all the difficulties and victories experienced. The well-established work of the information service provided news programs up to a third of airtime. Leading and television journalists immediately gained popular recognition. Some of them are still on the air, for some, work in Khabar was the start for new victories: Erlan Bekkhozhin, Lyazzat Tanysbay, Zane Alipbek, Svetlana Kokovinets, Aigul Mukey, Kimbat Hangeldina, Dana Nurzhigit, Kimbat Doszhan, Vladimir Roerich , Bibigul Zheksembay, Dinara Egeubaeva, Sergey Kuyanov, Sergey Ponomarev and many others.

Now information programs occupy up to a third of all airtime. The Directorate of Information Programs employs over two hundred employees.

One of the most popular informational and analytical programs is the weekly Sunday program “Zhetі kүn” (“Seven Days”) with an analytical overview of the most important events that took place in the republic and abroad.

The visiting card of the channel for many years has been the Betpe Bet social and political program, which returned to the screen after a long break in early 2016.

Entertaining and educational programs

The first in 1995 appeared such programs as “Khabar-ерsker”, “I am a taxpayer”, “Parliamentary Week”, “Erkem-ai”, “Sülem: Kazakhstan!”, “ECOS”, and others. In just the first three years of operation, about 30 projects were released. A little later, in the early 2000s, such programs as Khabar-News, Business Khabar, Khabar-Ger, and so on, more than 43 new projects appeared. The year 2001 can be described as the time of active release of entertaining, educational and informative talk shows, live programs in the interview format - “Indian Kingdom”, “21st Century Leader” and others. Many of them went on the air for decades.

In 2010-2013, shows were launched using the most complex technical and creative costs - the show "Champion", the project "KhabarStars".

TV series of own production

In 1996, for the first time in the history of the development of Kazakhstani Khabar television, work began on the creation of the series, the Kazakhstani soap opera, a very popular genre among the viewer in the 90s. The series has been broadcast for five years. Over the entire production period, 465 episodes were shot and broadcast. The actors of the series "Crossroads " have become incredibly popular. The series told about the life of ordinary residents in the stagnant period of the 90s of the last century, the fate of several Almaty families intertwined in it. The main roles were played by famous actors: Gulnar Dusmatova, Evgeny Zhumanov, Zhanna Kuanysheva, Venus Nigmatullina , Irina Azhmuhamedova, Bakhtiyar Kozha, Aleksey Shemes, Biken Rimova, Kasym Zhakibaev , Sagi Asimov, many Bakhytzhan Alpeisov, Zhanjenjen Bergenjai Baijanzhay Nanjayan Baenjay Nayanzhay and Baijengay Bergenzhai Baijanzhay Nayanzhay Banjeanzhai Baijanzhay . The shooting of the series in 2000 ended. In 1998, he was recognized as the best according to the media forum of the CIS countries. To this day is the longest series of Kazakhstan production.

Among the channel’s television products: the series “Kashyқ zhurek”, “Makhabbatym zhregimemde” ^[1] , biographical films “Bauyrzhan Momyshuly” and “Kulyash”, the comedies “Surboydak” and “Nothing Personal”.

In 2015, 10 series were produced, which amounted to a total of 116 series, including 2 historical series “Ustar Oni” ^[2] about the life of the legendary Kazakh composer Nurgisa Tlendiev and “Aқyldyk kilti. Umir dastans ” ^[3] , based on the words of edification of the Kazakh philosopher Abay Kunanbaev .

In 1999, the largest correspondent network in the country was created - 14 correspondent points in the regions. Later correspondent points were opened in the CIS countries and abroad. Among the memorable materials: a direct report on the release of the hostages in the “Nord-Ost” by Yerlan Dzhanabekov, online inclusion of B. Chermashev from rallies in Bishkek, the plot from the 1999 summit on saving the Aral Sea, the question of saving the Aral Sea at the summit in Ashgabat, etc.

In 2000, the regional network in the Republic of Kazakhstan consisted of 14 correspondent points: Petropavlovsk, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Uralsk, Aktobe, Atyrau, Aktau, Taldykorgan, Taraz, Shymkent, Kyzylorda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey.
