Russian records in athletics

This article contains the records of Russian athletes , approved by the All-Russian Athletics Federation . Some of the Soviet records not beaten by Russian athletes are current national records. Some Russian records are also records of Europe, the world , the Olympic Games and world championships.

Russian records in a number of disciplines were canceled at different times in connection with doping violations by athletes who established them. So, on October 20, 2008, the Presidium of the All-Russian Athletics Federation decided to disqualify seven leading Russian athletes, among whom was Elena Soboleva . The reason was the fact of the substitution of doping tests, discovered at the 2007 World Athletics Championships . All the results of the athlete from April 26, 2007 were invalidated [1] . They included 3 Russian records: 800 meters in the room - 1.56.49 [2] (02/09/2008), 1,500 meters in the room - 3.57,71 [3] (03/09/2008) and 1 mile in the room - 4.20, 21 [4] (01/27/2008). A similar fate befell the records of Lilia Shobukhova in running on the highway at distances of 20 km, 25 km, 30 km and the marathon . On April 29, 2014, the Anti-Doping Commission of the All-Russian Athletics Federation decided to disqualify the athlete for 2 years with the cancellation of its results starting on October 9, 2009 [5] .
