Isioka ( я 岡 市 Isioka-shi ) is a city in Japan located in Ibaraki Prefecture . Isioka received urban status on February 11, 1954 . The area of the city is 215.62 km² [1] , the population is 76,776 people (August 1, 2014) [2] , the population density is 356.07 people / km².

Geography
Isioka is located in the Ibaraki Prefecture of the Kanto Region, in the eastern part of Honshu Island. It lies on the shores of Lake Kasumigaura , the second largest in Japan, southwest of the city of Mito and north of the city of Tsuchiura . Isioka borders on the cities of Tsuchiura, Tsukuba , Sakuragawa , Kasumigaura , Kasama and Omitama .
