Geography
Isioka is located in the Ibaraki Prefecture of the Kanto Region, in the eastern part of Honshu Island. It lies on the shores of Lake Kasumigaura , the second largest in Japan, southwest of the city of Mito and north of the city of Tsuchiura . Isioka borders on the cities of Tsuchiura, Tsukuba , Sakuragawa , Kasumigaura , Kasama and Omitama .
