Danyal-bek Galladzhev ( 1876 - June 1920 ) - Colonel, commander of the Russian Imperial Army and the Army of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic .

Family
Danyal-bek Abdullah-bek oglu Galladzhev, was born on September 5, 1874 in the city of Balaken in the family of a landowner. All six children of Abdullah Bek received higher education. Two sons - Garaali-bek and Murtuzali-bek - graduated from the Law Faculty of St. Petersburg University , and Bashir-bek - graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Languages ββand Law of the same university. The youngest son - Magomed-bek - graduated from the agronomy department of the Moscow Agricultural Academy , later becoming the Hero of Socialist Labor . Daughter Maryam was a graduate of the Tiflis Women's Institute of St. Nina.
Military career
He received his general education at the Stavropol Real School. In August 1895 he entered the Mikhailovsky Artillery School in St. Petersburg . After graduating from a first-class educational institution in August 1897, Second Lieutenant Galladzhev is sent to the 39th Artillery Brigade of the 1st Caucasian Army Corps , stationed in Alexandropol . He began his service as a junior officer of the 1st Battery . Galladzhev served in the brigade for more than ten years and received the rank of staff captain .
Captain Galladzhev met World War I as a senior officer of the 1st Battery of the 1st Caucasian Rifle Artillery Division . By the highest order of June 9, 1915, he received swords for the existing order of St. Stanislav , 2nd art. On June 11 of the same year he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir , 4th art. with swords and bow. After being wounded in 1915, he was sent for treatment. He lived in Balaken , in the homeland of his ancestors. He served in the Russian army with the rank of colonel .
He served in the army of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic as the commander of the 1st artillery brigade. After the establishment of Soviet power in Azerbaijan, he took part in the anti-Soviet Ganja uprising . After the suppression of the uprising, he was arrested and held in prison, where he died in June 1920.
