History

Theater building

In 1953 the Chemists Club was commissioned and a fountain was built. The club building was built according to a standard design by Olga Sergeevna Neslukhovskaya under the guidance of Ivan Vladislavovich Zholtovsky. The building project was developed in Moscow (for similar projects, the Burevestnik and Slava cinemas were built in Moscow).

Four pairs of connected columns carry a triangular pediment with an arch carved into it, accentuated through the relief. It was also used by the club as a cinema. Built by the trust "Lishimpromstroy".

In the late 50s, the building of the Chemists' Club was transferred to the Severodonetsk plant "Fiberglass" (SZS) .

In the early 1990s, in view of the crisis at the enterprise SPO Fiberglass, the company's management decides on the transfer of the SZS building to the ownership of the city of Severodonetsk.

In 1993, the creative team of the city theater turned to the leadership of the city to provide permanent premises for the theater.

In 1994, the theater received its permanent residence in the building of the former ESS club.

From 1993 - 1997, the theater was headed by a graduate of the Kharkov Institute of Arts, Alexander Shmal. The creative team composed the acting course of the Kharkov Institute of Arts. These years in the theater were performances staged by Alexander Schmal.
