The song is a medium tempo ballad in the style of "Latino", with words of Spanish origin such as "bandana", "senorita" and "caballero"; the authors are Andersson and Ulvaeus, the lead vocals are Anni-Frid Lingstad and the mixed backing vocals Lingstad and Agneta Feltskog. The song remained in the archives of Polar Music until 1994, when it debuted in the compilation Thank You For The Music , and was subsequently released as a bonus track on the extended releases of the Super Trouper album and in the 2005 meeting The Complete Studio Recordings . The song also came out as a single on the 1996 compilation ABBA Gold , thus becoming the band's last single.
The instrumental insert at the end of “Put On Your White Sombrero” “survived”, being used in other ABBA songs, while recording tracks for compilation of The Singles: The First Ten Years in the fall of 1982. The new text and arrangements were embodied in the song “ Cassandra ”, one of the most recent tracks recorded by the group before the collapse. “Cassandra” was released as the second side for the single “ The Day Before You Came ”.
