History
Orange was founded in 1869 by Andrew Gassell and Alfred Chapman. In 1888, the settlement received city status. Up until the 1950s, the development of Orange, like other towns in Southern California, was slow. But then the proximity of the rapidly expanding metropolis of Los Angeles and the convenience of transport routes in the Orange area caused a real construction boom, which continues to the present day.
