Biography
In childhood and youth he played football, preparing for the career of a professional player.
He graduated from the acting department of the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp . In 1980-1985, he plays in the Antwerp Theater Koninklijke Nederlandse Schouwburg (now - Het Toneelhuis ion).
He founded the Blauwe Maandag Compagnie Theater (BMC; Blue Monday Company) with Guy Joosten in Ghent .
From 1998 to 2005 he was the director of the Het Toneelhuis ion theater. He gained international fame after his first productions in Germany. Since 2005 he has been working in German theaters.
