Pyrimifos-methyl - an organophosphorus insecticide and acaricide of a wide spectrum of action (classification in accordance with Directive 67/548 / EEC). The most famous drug is Actellic (emulsion concentrate 500 g / l).
It is used to protect crops of open and protected soil from a complex of leaf-eating and sucking pests, including ticks , as well as to protect storage facilities and grain reserves when stored from a complex of barn pests.
Mechanism of action: contact, intestinal action, pronounced fumigant activity, translaminar redistribution of the drug in the leaves allows you to fight pests that live on the underside of the leaf. The protective period for vegetable and ornamental crops is 7-14 days. The death of insects occurs in the range from several minutes to several hours (depending on the conditions, type and physiological state of the pests). For successful pest control, 2-fold treatment with an interval of 7 days is recommended [1] .
Persistence is low on plants, high on inert surfaces [1] .

It is necessary to observe the requirements and precautions in accordance with SanPiN 1.2.2584-10: "Hygienic requirements for the safety of testing processes, storage, transportation, sale, use, disposal and disposal of pesticides and agrochemicals" [2] . Do not work with the drug without personal protective equipment (PPE) of the respiratory system, eyes and skin.
Specific antidote : atropine sulfate or P-2AM is a specific cholinesterase reactant [1] .
