In the 2008 presidential election, he supported the candidacy of Gennady Zyuganov , saying that he “ has a clear plan for reviving the country and saving the people ” [24] . In 2008, in an interview with Radio Liberty , he expressed the position: “The strange thing is the Russian liberal . This is the only person in the world who hates and beats his mother, his land. And her slightest mistake - he begins to laugh, rub his sweaty little hands, wildly rejoices about this, forgetting that this is his mother . ” At the same time, according to Bortko, Putin and Zyuganov, “ love for the motherland ” unites [25] .

In April 2012, film director Vladimir Bortko at a meeting of the Duma asked Prime Minister Vladimir Putin how he relates to “ the proposal to replace the provision on the multinational Russian people in the preamble of the Constitution with“ the Russian people and those who joined it? ” [ 26] . Criticism

Recently, the same Bortko presented the audience with his new Bulgakov’s masterpiece - “The Master and Margarita”. In fact, the Bortko phenomenon is a curiosity of the new Russian mentality. The director himself is a sturdy "pro" of the Hollywood type, good at feeling the situation, and an early-formed anti-communist (in the 1970s he even tried to flee "this country"). He made “a dog’s heart” in the wake of the “Bulgakov’s boom”, and in the early 2000s, when “education”, as Trotsky put it, “nurtured cultures,” made him a cold, elementary-illustrative “Idiot” [35] .
Alexander Serebryakov
