SR-71 is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Baltimore, Maryland. Before concluding a contract with RCA Records, the band was called “Honor Among Thieves”, having gained some popularity in Baltimore . Their most famous creations include the 2000 single “Right Now”, the single “Tomorrow” (2002), and SR-71 are known as the authors of the original Bowling For Soup hit song “1985”. Like "Honor Among Thieves", the quartet created an album called "Grow." Two songs from this album were eventually included on the SR-71's debut album, "Now You See Inside."

The name of the group comes from the name of one of the achievements of American military technology - Lockheed SR-71 , a supersonic reconnaissance aircraft of the US Air Force.
Since 2007, the group has officially been in an “indefinite time-out” status, following the release of their latest album “Here We Go Again” in 2004. The creative activity of the team now, mainly expressed in the work of vocalist / guitarist SR-71 Mitch Alan on a solo project.
