Biography

Born in a family of musicians, father - flutist V.N. Tsybin , mother - singer.

In the years 1919-1922. brought up in an orphanage . He graduated from courses at the Krasnopresnensky Council of the Society of Friends of the Air Fleet.

In 1926, Tsybin entered the 1st Soviet Aviation School in Gatchina at the Department of Aviation Engineering . After graduation, he worked in the department of educational institutions of the Air Force Office of the Red Army , then served in the Perm School of Pilots and Naval Aviation Technicians. In 1938 - brigade commander . In 1939, Tsybin was transferred to Moscow and entered the N.E. Zhukovsky Air Force Academy ; before the start of World War II, he completed three courses.

During the war he served in the airborne troops , worked on the creation of the airborne gliders KTs-20 , Ts-5 , Ts-25 .

In 1944-1947 - Head of the glider design bureau at the plant in Beskudnikov .

In 1950 he graduated from the Higher Engineering Courses of MVTU .

In 1955-1960 - chief designer of OKB- 256, where he directed the creation of a high - altitude supersonic strategic jet reconnaissance aircraft RS [1] .

In 1948-1951, 1961-1992. worked at OKB-1 Koroleva (deputy chief designer, scientific consultant). He completed the USSR’s first project of a winged returnable reusable manned spacecraft - a spaceplane (Lapotok) launched on a Vostok carrier rocket, designed the first Soviet reconnaissance satellite Zenit , worked on the Lightning communications satellite, Soyuz and spacecraft Soyuz-T ".

Rewards and Merit

  • He was awarded the Order of Lenin , two Orders of the Red Banner , the Order of the Red Star , two Orders of the Patriotic War , the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and many medals.
