Scientific research at the State University is supported by grants from the President of the Russian Federation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research ; Point of Support Foundation for Civil Society Initiatives, Fujitsu Institute and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Ministry of Education of Japan; UN , National Press Institute, Center for Civic Initiatives, etc.
International cooperation
As part of international cooperation, long-term educational, research, and creative projects are being implemented with the universities of Paris-East [2] and Paris-XII [3] and Clermont-I, with the Tokyo Institute of Technology and the International Institute for Applied and System Analysis (Austria), the university Grenoble. Teachers of the State University give lectures on Russian law for students of a number of French universities.
Every year, the GU organizes practice for French students specializing in Russian law at the University of Paris-X (Nanterre) . [4] Long-term cooperation with this university gives graduates with good French language and appropriate professional training the opportunity after graduation from the university to work for 1-2 years as an assistant, as well as to study in graduate school (au doctorat) at the University of Nanterre's Law Faculty.
University of the Humanities in Official Rankings of Russian Universities
On February 2, 2016, the Association of Non-State Higher Education Institutions of Russia announced the results of the first rating of Russian private higher education institutions. A study of 366 non-state universities was conducted by the Association’s specialists in accordance with the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission on monitoring the effectiveness of higher education organizations. The rating was compiled taking into account the actual monitoring indicators of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, as well as additional data on universities received in the public information space. Experts studied the educational, scientific-innovative and financial activities of universities, indicators of staffing and employment of graduates. In total, the rating included 169 non-state universities, divided into three groups. The first group (integrated assessment of more than 65%) included 17 universities. In the second group (from 20% to 65%) - 60 universities. The third group (integral grade less than 20%) includes 92 universities. The University of the Humanities entered the first group [5] .
French Law Portal
The University of Humanities, together with the University of Paris-X, with the financial support of the French Foreign Ministry and with the consular support of the Consulate General of France in Yekaterinburg, has implemented a project to create the French-language Internet portal, French Law. A wide circle of specialists was involved in the project. The portal is addressed to Russian-speaking Internet users who are professionally or simply interested in French law.
Russian Opera Prize Casta diva

In 1996, the University of Humanities became the founder of the Casta diva prize for winners in the field of opera art in Russia (the only special opera award in Russia). The initiative to establish the award came from the director of the Center for Musical Theater of the University of the Humanities, prof. Ural Conservatory, the famous theatrical figure of Russia Mikhail Muginshtein . The award was established jointly with the Center for Musical Theater of the Humanitarian University (Yekaterinburg), the Humanitarian and Political Science Center "Strategy" (Moscow), and the following publications: Culture, Screen and Stage, Literary Newspaper , Music Academy, and St. Petersburg Theater Journal "," Mariinsky Theater "and radio" Orpheus ").
