Biography
Born March 30, 1909 in Novy Oskol, Kursk province (now in the Belgorod region ) in the family of an employee.
He graduated from 9 classes. He worked as a mechanic at a factory in Kazan .
At the Navy since 1931 . After the call, he served in the Baltic Sea Forces. He studied at the artillery school of the Training detachment, was a student of Special courses for command personnel of the Red Army Navy . In 1934 he was appointed commander of a submarine mine group. In 1936 he was sent to the Diving Squad named after S. M. Kirov. In November 1936, Anatoly Konyaev was appointed assistant commander of the Shch-302 “Okun” KBF submarine, and at the end of 1937 - the commander of the Shch-324 submarine. In 1938 he joined the CPSU (b) .
Member of the Soviet-Finnish War (1939-1940). Submarine commander Sch-324 (2nd Submarine Brigade, Baltic Fleet) Captain 3rd rank A.M. Konyaev in December 1939 - January 1940 in difficult weather conditions, made two military campaigns, one enemy auxiliary ship that attacked his boat exploded. On January 19, 1940, for the first time in the Navy, he crossed the Southern Kvarken (Sedra-Kvarken) Strait under the ice in the Baltic Sea . When sailing in the ice on a submarine, antennas, racks, breakwaters were damaged, and the bow was bent. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 21, 1940, Captain 3 ranks A. M. Konyaev was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. The submarine was awarded the Order of the Red Banner .
Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 1st convocation from the Estonian SSR (1941-1946).
During the Great Patriotic War he served in the headquarters of the Baltic Fleet, in the Navy's Diving Directorate, and commanded a division of submarines under construction. In 1952 he graduated from the Academic Courses of Officers at the K.E. Voroshilov Naval Academy. In 1953-1956 - the commander of the training detachment of the 8th Navy, senior officer of the headquarters combat training department.
Since 1957, captain 1st rank A.M. Konyaev in stock. After being transferred to the reserve, he was deputy head of the Tallinn Naval College, then a senior researcher at the Museum of the Twice Red Banner Baltic Fleet .
He died on May 13, 1992 in Moscow. Cremated . An urn with ashes was buried in the Metsakalmistu cemetery in Tallinn .
Rewards
Hero of the Soviet Union . He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner, two orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, the Order of the Red Star , and medals.
