Superficial punctate keratitis ( Tigesona keratitis ) is a chronic eye disease that affects the corneal epithelium and does not extend to the stroma. First described in 1950 by Phillips Tiggeson. [3]

The etiology of the disease is unclear, although association with HLA -DR3 is suggested. As therapy, corticosteroids , cyclosporine , soft contact lenses are used.
