Creative Biography
Sergey Korsun began to paint at school, almost immediately having decided on the main genre - a caricature , which later brought all-Russian fame. The first models and targets of humor were teachers and classmates.
Artistic experiments continued actively during his service in the Soviet Army (1986–88, Baikonur ), where humorous and satirical drawings were in great demand.
A new direction in the schedule of Sergei Korsun appears closer to the mid-1990s under the influence of the work of Yegor Letov . Sergey made several drawings based on the songs of the Civil Defense , which served as a good illustration practice. Around the same time, a rock club appeared in Pavlodar, in the life and work of which Sergei took an active part. Korsun publishes cartoons, cartoons, and comics on a wide variety of topics in the “Nonsense magazine“ Gruzilka “” he created (published from 1996 to 2006), which, primarily due to original drawings, quickly becomes popular not only in his native city, but and far beyond.
Recognizable graphics of Sergei is in demand in an informal environment. By the late 1990s, his drawings could be found on the pages of most CIS self-published magazines.
In the early 2000s, Sergey began to collaborate with official publications, first regional and republican: " News of Pavlodar ", "Pavlodar Week", "Caravan" and others, and then Russian.
Sergey Korsun gains all-Russian popularity thanks to the Internet portal CARICATURA.RU , having won in several competitions. His drawings begin to regularly publish the largest Russian online publications and sites, as well as almost all major entertainment newspapers.
Currently, Sergei continues to draw cartoons for several of the largest Internet projects, illustrates books and periodicals, being one of the most cited Runet cartoonists.
