In the UK, Angeleyes was released as the double side of A along with Voulez-Vous . Epic , the British label ABBA, considered that such a release would be more popular with listeners.

The song “Angeleyes” is included in the official ABBA compilation “ More ABBA Gold: More ABBA Hits ” (1993) and “ The Definitive Collection ” (2001), as well as in “ Thank You for the Music ” .

Coincidentally, "Angeleyes" ABBA entered the top twenty in the UK at the same time as another song called "Angel Eyes" from British rock band Roxy Music . The last track was written by musicians Brian Ferry and Andy Mackay , and although these two songs have lyrical similarities, the song of Ferry and Mackay is more reminiscent of modern pop rock .

Cover versions

  • The German Eurodance band E-Rotic recorded their version of the song for the 1997 tribute album Thank You for the Music .
  • American alternative rock band The Czars recorded their version of the song for the 2006 album Sorry I Made You Cry .
  • Various Eurobands-remixes of authorship by Abbacadabra were released on Almighty Records in the late 1990s, one of which is included in the compilation album We Love ABBA: The Mamma Mia Dance Compilation [1] .
