Biography
Sergey Korzhukov graduated from medical school and worked as an ambulance for two years. He started playing guitar from the fifth grade. The love of music in the end prompted him to quit medicine and get a job as a singer in the Hermitage restaurant. He worked there for 12 years, until he met with the poet Mikhail Tanich , the founding father of the Lesopoval group.
One of the most popular songs with a catchy dance tune to Korzhukov’s music and Tanich’s poems is “Nodes” performed by Alena Apina . The song became the laureate of the festival “Song of the Year - 1995”, however, the composer did not live up to graduation [1] .
After 25 years, the song on the poems of Lydia Kozlova "Withered Flowers" performed by Dmitry Pryanov became very popular. Which lasted for several weeks in the leading positions in the charts of the radio Chanson.
In the early morning of July 20, 1994, Sergei Korzhukov fell from the balcony of his high-rise building, allegedly committing suicide . Death occurred instantly from rupture of the aorta. He was buried at Danilovsky Cemetery (19th grade) [2]
