Content
The second Christmas release of Celine Dion included, in addition to traditional songs such as “Promenade en traîneau” and “Joyeux Noël”, several Christmas fairy tales written by Ivan Ducharme and recorded by the singer in the studio.
Three songs for this album (“Promenade en traîneau”, “Joyeux Noël” and “Glory Alleluia”) were taken from Celine Dion's first Christmas album Céline Dion chante Noël , released in 1981 . The single “Un enfant”, a cover version of Jacques Brel's song, was released in support of the album. [1] “Chants et contes de Noël” also includes the track “À quatre pas d'ici”, which is a French-language adaptation of the Bucks Fizz hit song “The Land of Make Believe”. The authors of this song wrote for Celine Dion hits such as “Think Twice” and “Call the Man” many years later.
It sold 50,000 copies of this album. [2]
