Biography
Giovanyini entered the music school in Arezzo . There she began to study singing, playing the piano and flute. As she trained, she developed an interest in medieval culture and Celtic music .
In 2001, she met and began working together with producer David Pinelli, as well as with author Vincenzo Inchenzo.
In the same year, Giovanyini recorded and released his first single, “Dovevo dire di no”, which was unsuccessful, but needed to participate in the Italian Song Festival ( San Remo Festival ), which took place next year.
In 2002, Giovannini takes part in the Italian Song Festival ( Festival of San Remo ) with the composition "Il passo silenzioso della neve" by David Pinelli and Vincenzo Inchenzo. She ranks second in the Young Talents nomination following winner Anna Tatangelo.
On March 15 of the same year, she released her debut album, titled Creatura nuda . In the summer she takes part in the Festivalbar with the song "Senza origine". After that, she goes on tour throughout Italy .
On May 30, 2003, the next single “Non piango più” was released, which was announced as the last work on discography.
In the spring of 2004, she went on a second long tour.
On November 15, 2008, during the broadcast of the Sabato & Domenica Village program ( Russian Saturday and Resurrection of the Village ) on Rai Uno , Giovannini claims to be working on a new album.
Death
On January 2, 2009, the singer was hospitalized in a hospital in the city of Siena in serious condition due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident at 15:30 between Pozzo Della Chiana and Foiano Della Chiana near the village of Santa Luche. It was decided to transport her to the hospital of Siena . Giovagnini died at night despite all the attempts of doctors to save her life.
At the memorial service and the funeral that took place in her hometown, more than 2,000 people gathered.
Posthumous album
On May 15, 2009, the posthumously released second Giovannini album, titled “ L'amore non ha fine ” ( Rus. Love has no end ). The disc was released under the label Edel .
The album includes 12 tracks + 2 "ghost" tracks, which members of the Giovanyini family asked to be included. The proceeds from the sales will be used to finance a nonprofit association dedicated to the memory of Valentina Giovagnini.

For many fans of her work, the tragic death was just a blow.
In honor of Valentina Giovagnini, a national prize for young talents was established.
For the first time, it was held on September 5 and 6, 2009 in Pozzo Della Chiyana , in the homeland of Giovanyini, the proceeds will go to the Valentina Giovagnini Onlus fund, which is involved in humanitarian activities.
