Soviet ultimatum to Army Group Kurland
Ultimatum ( lat. Ultimatum - completed to the end ) - a requirement related to the limitation of time given for its execution, as well as the threat of serious consequences if it is not fulfilled. The ultimatum is a demonstration of the reluctance of any kind of negotiation .
Ultimatums are used primarily in politics and sometimes precede a declaration of war. Sometimes ultimatums are found in other areas of life, for example, in personal life or in the economy . From an ethical point of view, ultimatums in our time are evaluated rather negatively, especially if they are associated with blackmail . Nevertheless, in certain political situations, ultimatums can prevent greater evil.
