Morena Baccarin ( port. Morena Baccarin ; in English reads Maireina Bakerin [1] ; born June 2, 1979 ) is a Brazilian - American actress [2] [3] . Best known for her roles in the sci-fi television series " Firefly " in the role of Inara, " Stargate: SG-1 " in the role of Adria , " V " in the role of Anna, leader of the Visitors [4] , as well as in the role of Vanessa in the films " Deadpool ”and“ Deadpool 2. ” In 2013, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in the dramatic television series Homeland [5] .

Early life
Morena was born in Rio de Janeiro , but at the age of seven she moved to the USA , in New York, Greenwich Village . Her mother Vera Setta ( port. Vera Setta ) is a Brazilian theater and television series actress, and her father Fernando Baccarin ( port. Fernando Baccarin ) is the coordinator of Brazilian news recordings. [6] [7] Morena attended Public School No. 41 and the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies, where her classmates were Claire Danes , Wes Bentley and Glenn Howerton . [8] She later studied at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts, before becoming involved in theater at the Juilliard School , [6] where she was in Drama Division's Group 29 (1996-2000). [9] Moved to Los Angeles in the early 2000s.
Career
In 2001, Morena won the Best Actress award at the Wine Country Film Festival for her role as Rebecca in Way Off Broadway. Twice nominated for the Saturn Award for her role in the TV series " V " [10] .
Personal Life
From November 26, 2011 Morena was married to director and screenwriter Austin Chick [11] [12] , who filed for divorce with her in June 2015 [13] . The former spouses have a son - Julius Chick (born October 22, 2013) [14] . March 17, 2016 the couple officially divorced.
On June 2, 2017, Morena is married for the second time to actor Ben MacKenzie , whom she met 2 years before their wedding [15] . The spouses have a daughter, Francis Liza Setta Schenkkan (born March 2, 2016) [16] .
