Plotter cutting is a technology that allows you to cut to the substrate, carve, perforate, cut through the material along the contour of the image from various materials, for example, from a self-adhesive film.
Cutting is called "plotter" due to the fact that this process produces a special high-precision apparatus - a plotter . The word " plotter " or plotter comes from the Greek. γράφω - I write, I draw. And indicates a device for automatic drawing. Then a large format printer is also a plotter machine. And this word is not quite suitable for equipment that does not draw, but cuts along the contour.
