History
It was formed in August 1941 in the Siberian Military District in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (in the cities of Bogotol , Ilanskiy , Nazarovo ).
As part of the army from 12/18/1941 to 10/15/1942 and from 01/27/1943 to 05/09/1945.
In November 1941 she was immersed in the echelons and sent to the front. 11.29.1941 arrived in Vologda and unloaded. From the unloading places, part of the division marched on foot to the area of the villages of Gruzino and Zvanka along the Volkhov River , passing about 700 kilometers.
From January 7 to January 13, 1942, he was advancing from the march to strongholds in the villages of Gruzino and Zvanka, suffering heavy losses, and failed to complete the task.
01/21/1942 the division without the 1242th Infantry Regiment (remaining on the defense at Vyya-Pshenichnoy) occupied a new area on the right flank of the army and from 01/26/1942 along with the 59th Infantry Brigade advanced in the direction of the village of Spasskaya Polist , Lesopunkt and the village of Mostki. In January 1944, she went on the offensive during the Novgorod-Luga operation, on January 28, 1944 she cut the Moscow - Leningrad railway, distinguished herself during the liberation of Lyuban . During April - June 1944, she fought on the Kopylovo - Gdov section along the eastern shore of Lake Peipsi , occupying a 40-kilometer strip along the front, and guarded the mouth of the Narva River. From 09.10.1944, the division conducts direct battles for Riga , 10/12/1944 the division liberated the Jaunciems village, forced the Daugava River, crossed the Keshezers on the amphibians of the 285th separate motorized special-purpose battalion , the first started fighting for the city and the division took the center on 03.10.1944 at 03.00 Riga. Before the start of the battle for Riga, the division suffered serious losses, which led to the fact that the personnel of the regiments had to be combined into one consolidated, 1244th regiment, numbering 842 people, including six rifle companies of 60 people each, machine gun, machine gun and mortar companies, three regimental batteries, a communications company, a sanitary company, a reconnaissance and sapper platoons, business units, all units are incomplete. In the remaining regiments, there remained only directorates of regiments and battalions, as well as a small part of the personnel of economic units. They did not participate in the battles for Riga, they moved after the combined regiments in the second echelon. Since the fall of 1944, the division fought on the Courland Peninsula, in the Tukums area.
Disbanded in the summer of 1946.
